The UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) brand is expected to generate about US$140 million in sales of licensed products this year in Brazil. This is what Mr. Marcus Macedo, CEO of Exim – the master licensee for the brand in Brazil – expects. He also believes that this revenue may double in one year and a half.
His optimism is due to the increase in the number of UFC events in Brazil. There will be ten in 2013, against just three this year. The next UFC products to be launched are sunglasses (expected to be available for sale soon) and watches (still pending approval).
